"There are 6 billion people on this planet. In Austria 8 million. Who, do you think, we are making our movies for"?
Peter Koller - Producer & Director

Away from the pretentious Austrian homeland film, away from the cabaret film, away from the arthouse film. The fact that a film like On Evil Grounds is created in Austria solely depends on the coincidence that procuder and director Peter Koller is living in Austria. Films made by KOP ELEVEN are not supposed to transport a national identity, nor any "Lokalkolorit" which nobody outside Austria understands anyway. Things which are, considering the vanishsing borders within Europe, unnecessary and even contradicting the spirit of the European idea. KOP ELEVEN does not work in the way of Mozart or various TV-series as a tourism advertisement for Austria. On Evil Grounds is a punchy (first) strike in the face. A pure work of genre film. Dirty. Precise without any distraction. Only the genre-film can find an audience beyond the borders! Austria as a filmland should profit from the fact, that a genre film was made in Austria, not because you can see Austria on the screen. For that we are a way too small dot on the map of the world. It is the origin what counts, not the alpes on the screen. Austria needs genre movies! Movies for the whole world! This is the philosophy of KOP ELEVEN!

Peter Koller - Producer, Director, Writer

"Viewing this virtually coming-out-of nowhere achievment of Koller, not to support him would be a mistake you could only consider madness. One must offer chances to such people."

Frank Novotny - Producer

Born in 1974, the year of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Peter Koller grew up during the horror trash era of analogue video productions in the 1980ies. He waited quietly in the dark. Today, Peter has a diploma in real-estate and stock exchange management. He has shot two short films with friends and co-workers from his regular job at the airport in Vienna. And then it was time for On Evil Grounds. The story was written, the company was founded, the crew was recruited, the actors cast, the movie shot. No big deal. Hollywood in Europe? We can do it here, too!
